Organizing Figma documents

Arriving to a final design doesn't always happen in one sitting. It involves research, a few cups of coffee and a messy Figma document. 😬 To keep our mocks organized, we like to follow a few rules.

Create a file for each page

Try creating new documents instead of keeping one large document. This makes it easier to create and review designs.

Separate approved from rejected designs

Start by creating 2 Figma pages: latest and graveyard.

Designs that are ready for review or implementation go to the latest designs page. Rejects are placed in the graveyard page instead of deleting them (just in case they're needed again).

Separate MVP mockups from future goals

This is for big features that can't be implemented in one go.
